Accessibility Statement
Cognitive Range exists to make legal education and legal careers more accessible to neurodiverse people. We want this website to reflect that. It should be easy to read, easy to navigate and usable by as many people as possible, however you think, read or browse.
Our commitment
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We treat accessibility as ongoing work rather than a box we’ve ticked, and we review the site as we add new content.
How we’ve designed the site
- Readable text: our headings use Lexend, a typeface designed to improve reading ease, and our body text uses Atkinson Hyperlegible, designed by the Braille Institute for legibility. We keep our language plain and our pages clearly structured.
- Clear structure: every page has a single main heading, with sections that follow a logical order. This helps screen readers and anyone who skims.
- Keyboard access: you can move through the site using a keyboard alone, with a clearly visible outline showing where you are. “Skip to content” links let you bypass the menu.
- Reduced motion: if your device is set to reduce motion, the site switches off its hover and movement effects.
- Shorter, focused pages: our guides to each type of neurodiversity have their own page, so you can read about one condition without wading through others.
Adjust the site to suit you
Select the accessibility button in the corner of any page to open our accessibility tools. You can:
- make text bigger or change line spacing
- switch to a more readable font
- increase contrast or view the site in greyscale
- highlight links and outline the item you’ve selected
- pause animations or hide images
- use a reading mask to help you focus on one line at a time
Your browser and device may also let you zoom, change colours or have pages read aloud.
What we know isn’t perfect yet
Accessibility is never finished. If we find parts of the site that fall short, we’ll work through them and update this statement as we fix them.
